TCPTUES51

This week for The Cats Pajama's Tuesday challenge, Leigh provided a sketch for us to try.

Today was an odd day, weather-wise. I saw rain, snow, hail, sun, and gloom. It was a good day to stay indoors and stamp with pretty colors. So, I decided to use spring colored paper, and the Easter Penguins stamp. Penguins are perfectly happy when it snows, and since I am still seeing snow outside, I thought the stamp was appropriate for today's card.

I finally used Stampin' Up's Kiwi Kiss color. It is not a color I was liking. It looked more like pea soup green than kiwi green to me, and I have to resist the urge to call it Peewee Piss. I had not seen anything I liked with it, until I pulled out my Basicgrey LilyKate paper pad, and it was the green that matched LilyKate the best.

I was going to put Easter Eggs where there are flowers, but the flowers seemed to match the flowers in the patterned paper pretty well, so they got to be inked instead of the adorable Easter eggs in the stamp set. Here is my card:

Stuff used:
Stamps: Easter Penguins, Easter Greetings, and flowers from The Cat's Pajama's "Spring Fling" Clearly Swanky set
Paper: Stampin' Up Pink Pirouette, Kiwi Kiss, Groovy Guava; Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, patterned paper from BasicGrey LilyKate 6x6 pad
Ink: Versafine Onxy Black, Prismacolor pencils, Prismacolor Cold Stone marker
Other: Petite scallop circle Nestabilities, Provocraft scallop scissors, dimensional foam dot

Oooooh....excellent take on the sketch, Alice. I really like the cut out penguins on the right...they balance out the sentiment circle so well. Thanks for playing!
